Graduate
MIT PhD programs
- Prospective students must first be admitted through one of MIT’s PhD programs—for example, the PhD program in Biological Engineering or Computational Systems Biology.
- Once admitted, students are welcome to contact Dr. Zhiliang Bai via email.
Undergraduate
MIT undergraduate research program
- The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program at MIT (UROP) gives undergraduate students the opportunity to contribute to real research across MIT.
- Students are encouraged to enroll in an introductory laboratory subjects.
Visiting Student
Graduate students outside of MIT
- Students currently pursuing a graduate degree at an institution outside of MIT are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrated experience in bioinformatics, AI/ML model for single-cell and/or spatial omics data analysis is highly desirable.
For Postdoctoral Scholars
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Genetics, or a related field. Experience in single-cell or spatial omics technology development, RNA biology, immunoengineering, or organoid models is highly desirable. A strong computational background is a significant plus. Candidates should demonstrate high creativity, strong self-motivation, a track record of peer-reviewed publications, and the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative research environment.
